Summary:
The Fieldfare is a medium sized thrush. Its, crown, nape and rump are grey in colour. The face is dark around the eye but white and speckled below, the bill is yellow. The underparts are white with heavy dark speckles, the breast has a yellowish hue. The back and wings are bron and tail black.
Ecology:
The Fieldfare is mainly seen only during winter as it migrates in large flocks from northern Europe. It feeds on fruit that remains on trees and bushes during the winter as well as earthworms, molluscs and insects.
